We’ve been teasing Private Eyes for the last few weeks ever since we won the Mass DiGI Game Challenge, and are finally getting ready to show the game off for the very first time in the public!
This coming Sunday, March 29th to be exact, we will be bringing Private Eyes to Boston University’s first ever “Day of the Devs” event. At the event you will be able to not only play a super-very-unpolished-but-maybe-fun version of Private Eyes, but also check out tons of other great games made by local game developers.
Best of all? The event is free for anyone. Yes, anyone can come to the event and play a ton of awesome indie games for the entire day.
For Private Eyes, we’ll be demoing the first of many game modes, which we are calling “Who Dun It?!” This game mode has you and your fellow detectives searching for clues to who may be the murderer among you, while also trying not to fall victim to the murderer. It should be a ton of fun!
The build we’re showing is super early and constantly being updated. Right now we’re really trying to find the core fun and work on the mechanics before we move forward, but we are really happy where are and can’t wait to show you the game!
Full details on the event are pasted below, and you can find all the information on the official event page on Facebook.
We hope to see you there!

Boston University’s Day of the Devs is a one-day event hosted by BU Video Game Society. It’s dedicated to celebrating Boston’s local game development scene. We’ve invited over 40 digital and tabletop developers to show off their games in various stages of development. And best of all, the event is completely free for all attendees – yes, even if you aren’t a member of the BU community!
The event will take place in the Metcalf Hall on the second floor of the George Sherman Union, and will be open to the public from 12 PM – 7 PM.
